On 8 May 2026, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, participated via video conference in the Closing Ceremony and Certificate Presentation of the 2026 Outstanding Development Opportunity Scholarship (ODOS) Summer Camp, held at Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne.

The programme, organised under the Outstanding Development Opportunity Scholarship (ODOS) and implemented by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA), is designed to provide Thai youth with opportunities to study and receive training in technology, enhance their skills, and deepen their understanding of digital technologies.

On this occasion, the Ambassador congratulated the students on successfully completing the six-week programme, which included coursework, workshops, and various activities both inside and outside the classroom. She also expressed her appreciation to DEPA and Swinburne University of Technology for jointly organising the programme, which serves as another excellent example of the strong and ongoing educational cooperation between Thailand and Australia.

The Ambassador highlighted the growing importance of the digital economy, which is expanding rapidly and has become a key element of the global economy. She noted that digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) are creating new opportunities for innovation, business operations, and global connectivity. She also emphasised the importance of developing digital skills, pursuing lifelong learning, and using technology responsibly to help build a trusted and sustainable digital environment.

The Ambassador concluded by encouraging the students to build upon the knowledge and experiences gained from the programme to further develop themselves and their communities, and to contribute to Thailand’s future growth and development.
