On 7 December 2025, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, attended the Loy Krathong Dinner hosted by Australia-Thailand Association (ATA) at Pad Thai Restaurant in Chisholm. Also attending were Mr. Rutchabhoom Boonrawd, Minister, and his spouse and Group Captain Nawamarat Prapattong, Defence and Air Attache. Both Thai and Australian participants observed a moment of silence for 93 seconds in remembrance of Her Late Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, before having dinner and joining the traditional Loy Krathong floating. They also watched the tribute dance to pay homage to Her Late Majesty The Queen Mother, performed by Rarg Thai Band. In her remarks, the Ambassador paid tribute to Her Late Majesty, highlighting Her roles in preserving Thai culture, promoting development and enhancing international relations. She also expressed her appreciation to the ATA for actively supporting the Embassy’s activities throughout the year, including at the Thai Festival, and reassured the ATA of the continued support of the Embassy for the ATA’s future activities.
