On 19 August 2025, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, led the Heads and officials of Team Thailand agencies in Canberra and their spouses, as well as representatives of Thai Community in Canberra, in a volunteer activity to commemorate the Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother on 12 August 2025.

The volunteers helped the Vinnies Roadhouse Centre in Canberra provide and serve free and nutritious dinner to those in need. This included Thai Jasmine rice, stir-fried chicken with cashew nuts and deep fried fish with sweet and sour sauce.

The Vinnies Roadhouse Centre was set up by the St Vincent de Paul Society, a not-for-profit organization, to provide dinner and other life necessities for the homeless and others in need in Canberra. Each day the Centre prepares approximately 100 dinner boxes. It receives funding from the Australian Capital Territory Government and the St Vincent de Paul Society which is used to run these assistance services.

The Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand agencies in Canberra organised this volunteer activity to provide an opportunity for those in need to enjoy a special meal from what they usually have. It also allowed officials and staff from Team Thailand agencies to interact with the Centre’s personnel and those receiving the food, which helps to promote awareness about Thailand, particularly the constructive role of Team Thailand agencies in contributing to an inclusive society.
