On 8 February 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy, together with Embassies and High Commissions of ASEAN member countries in Canberra, participated in the 2025 National Multicultural Festival (NMF) hosted by the ACT Government, by setting up booths in “ASEAN Village” in Ainslie Place, Canberra, to showcase rich cultural heritage of the ASEAN countries and to provide information to the visitors.
On this occasion, Mr. Rutchabhoom Boonrawd, Minister, the Royal Thai Embassy, on behalf of the Ambassador, joined Mr. Andrew Bar, Chief Minister of ACT, and Mr. Brendan Smyth, Commissioner for International Engagement, and other Ambassadors and High Commissioners of ASEAN member countries at the opening of the “ASEAN Showcase” activity including the singing of the ASEAN Anthem by the spouses of diplomats of ASEAN member countries and various cultural performances.
This year, the Embassy’s booth displayed traditional Thai musical instruments, Khon masks, and fruit and vegetable carvings, and provided traditional Thai costumes for the visitors to wear and take photos as souvenirs. The Embassy also distributed informational materials about tourist destinations in Thailand.
