On 26 March 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra participated in the Harmony Day 2026, organised by Melba Copland Secondary School in Canberra.

On this occasion, the Embassy presented a video clip introducing Thailand and provided traditional Thai costumes for the students to wear and take photos as souvenirs. The Embassy also organised a Thailand-themed quiz to promote knowledge and awareness of Thailand and Thai culture among students attending the event.

The event also featured a variety of activities organised by students and participating organisations, including a cultural performance by the Embassy of Indonesia, an information booth by the Embassy of Italy, and a photo corner organised by the Kabuki Club of the Australian National University (ANU). In addition, there were activities such as jewellery-making workshops and a Latvian weaving demonstration organised by parents.

Harmony Day is an annual event held by Melba Copland Secondary School during Harmony Week (17–23 March), an initiative by the Australian Government to promote and celebrate Australia’s cultural diversity. The week emphasises the importance of living together in a spirit of mutual respect, understanding, and a shared sense of belonging in society.
