Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra participated in Harmony Day celebrations at Melba Copland Secondary School

On 20 March 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra participated in the 2025 Harmony Day celebrations at Melba Copland Secondary School to showcase rich cultural heritage of Thailand by staging a Thai traditional dance and setting up a photo booth and providing traditional Thai costumes for the students to wear and take photos as souvenirs.

The event also included performances and musical presentations by students as well as activities by different organizations, such as an information booth by the Embassy of Spain,
a photo booth by the Kabuki Club of the Australian National University (ANU), and a demonstration of Japanese origami by the Embassy of Japan.

Harmony Day celebrations is an annual event organised by Melba Copland Secondary School during the Harmony Week (17-23 March), an initiative by the Australian Government to promote and celebrate cultural diversity in Australia. It emphasizes living together with mutual respect and a sense of belonging. Moreover, 21 March of each year marks the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
