On 26-27 October 2023, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand, joined the business delegation from the Thai Australian Chamber in a visit to Darwin to explore trade and investment opportunities between Thailand and Northern Territory (NT). The delegation paid a courtesy call on The Honourable Paul Kirby, Minister for Agribusiness and Fisheries of NT and had briefings and discussions with representatives of NT’s Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade, NT’s Chamber of Commerce, and the Northern Territory Seafood Council. The delegation also visited Darwin Port, United Food Service, as well as Tou’s Garden, which is one of the most successful mango farms in Australia.

In addition, Ambassador Arjaree visited Wat Pa Darwin Mettaram and Wat Pa Luangta Maha Bua Yannasampanno Darwin to pay respect to the abbots. She also met with members of the Thai community in Darwin in an event organised by the NT Thai Association, during which she expressed appreciation for the community’s active role in promoting awareness about Thailand and understanding between Thailand and Northern Territory.
