On 24 July 2025 Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand, paid respect to Phramaha Wannawat Romphraingam (Chutipunyo), Abbot of Wat Trisikkha Townsville, made offerings to the Buddhist monks at the temple, and met with the Thai community in Townsville and nearby areas. The Ambassador was also joined by Group Captain Nawamarat Prapattong, Defence and Air Attaché.
