On 19 June 2026, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, together with Ms. Chearanai Tina Field, Honorary Consul of Thailand to Brisbane, met with the Honourable Shayne Neumann, Member for Blair, Queensland and Chair of the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade of the Australian Parliament, at his office in Ipswich, Queensland.

Both sides discussed ways to further strengthen Thailand–Australia relations, including through enhancing cooperation in defence industry, education, research and innovation, as well as trade and investment, and promoting the exchange of high‑level visits. They discussed the role of parliamentarians in further advancing partnership between the two countries. They also exchanged views on developments in the region as well as other issues of mutual interest.
