WORLD SOIL DAY AWARD 2020

Since 2018, the 6th Global Soil Partnership (GSP) of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has endorsed the establishment of the annual “King Bhumibol World Soil Day Award (WSDA)” in recognition of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great’s lifetime work on said utilization and research. The Award will be granted to individuals and/or institutions that have made significant efforts and contribution by organizing successful and impactful World Soil Day (WSD) celebrations.

The said award which includes a medal, a USD 15,000 cheque (equivalent to approximately 21,500 AUD) and a visit package to Thailand is aimed to encourage organizers of WSD events at various levels to facilitate outstanding celebrations around the globe.
