Purpose of Visit

This type of visa is issued to applicants who are entering to Thailand for tourism purposes

Single Entry

Required documents

  • Passport or travel document with a minimum validity of 6 months, and copy
  • Visa application form, fully completed
  • Recent passport-sized photograph (3.5 x 4.5 cm) of the applicant
  • For non-Australian or non-resident applicant, proof of an Australian Electronic Visa (VEVO)
  • Copy of an airline ticket indicating the date of arrival to and departure from Thailand or letter stating the itinerary/ travel plan of the applicant.
  • Copy of updated bank statement providing of adequate finances (THB 20,000 per person, or THB 40,000 per family)
  • Confirmed accommodation under your name for the duration of your stay in Thailand
  • Proof of residential address in Australia

Multiple Entries

Required documents

  • Passport or travel document with a minimum validity of 6 months, and copy
  • Visa application form, fully completed
  • Recent passport-sized photograph (3.5 x 4.5 cm) of the applicant
  • For non-Australian or non-resident applicant, proof of an Australian Electronic Visa (VEVO)
  • Copy of an airline ticket indicating the date of arrival to and departure from Thailand or letter stating the itinerary/ travel plan of the applicant.
  • Copy of updated bank statement providing of adequate finances (THB 200,000 per person)
  • Confirmed accommodation under your name for the duration of your stay in Thailand
  • Proof of residential address in Australia
  • In case of a medical tourist visa (MT), a letter from the hospital in Thailand, medical history, and medical certificate are required.

You must also provide a self-addressed return envelope (registered envelope recommended) for the return of documents.

The validity of a Visa

The validity of a visa is 6 months from the date of issued.

Period of Stay

Travelers will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 60 days per entry.
