Thailand’s Donations for Australian Bushfires Recovery and Relief

On 23 January 2020, a delegation led by H.E. Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Tourism and Sports, together with Miss Busadee Santipitaks, Director-General of Department of Information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Member of the Board of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), President of Association of Thai Travel Agents (ATA), President of Phuket Tourist Association, and executive members of TAT paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Allan McKinnon PSM, Australian Ambassador to Thailand, to express support to the ongoing efforts on the ground to fight against bushfires and to send thoughts and prayers to those affected. On this occasion, the delegation also handed over the total sum of money which is a cash donation raised by TAT, ATA and several sources such as charity “Run for Help, and Run for Australia”, to the Ambassador of Australia to support the bushfire relief and recovery endeavours.
