Thai Ambassador to Australia gave opening remarks at “THINK RESILIENCE, THINK THAILAND” Webinar for Australian and New Zealand investors organised by Thailand’s BOI Sydney Office.
On June 25, 2020, H.E. Ms Busadee Santipitaks, Ambassador-designate of Thailand to the Commonwealth of Australia gave an opening remarks at “THINK RESILIENCE, THINK THAILAND” webinar, highlighting Thailand’s success in combating COVID-19 pandemic as well as the Thai government’s commitment to the post-COVID economic recovery in order to reassure the foreign businesses that Thailand remains a business-friendly investment destination in the region.
The webminar was jointly organised by the Board of Investment (BOI)’s Australia Office (Sydney) and Australia – Thailand Business Chamber (WA) Inc to update the prospective investors in Australia and New Zealand about the current opportunities in Thailand, in particular the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) and the investment support measures as well as incentives provided by BOI and other authorities concerned.
Notable speakers who joined this webminar included the Hon. Mr. Peter Tinley AM MLA, Minister for Asian Engagement, Government of Western Australia; Mr. Brenton Mauriello, CEO of dwp and Vice-President of Australian – Thai Chamber of Commerce and Australia – ASEAN Chamber of Commerce; Ms. Melissa Challenor-Bevis, Chief Executive of EPIC and President of Australia Thailand Business Chamber (WA) and Ms. Songklin Ploymee from BOI headquarter in Bangkok. This online event was attended by 90 businessmen from Australia and New Zealand.
