Thai Ambassador attends “Thailand – Australia Education Cooperation Networking” in Melbourne

 

On 15 August 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy, in cooperation with the Royal Thai Honorary Consulate in Melbourne, hosted “Thailand – Australia Education Cooperation Networking”reception on the occasion of the visit by the delegation of the Council of University Presidents of Thailand (CUPT) to attend the EduTech International Congress and Expo 2024 and meet with Australian universities to explore collaboration.

 

H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, attended the said event, together with Mrs. Hattaya Khusakul, Consul-General of Thailand, Sydney, Mrs. Tessa Sullivan, Honorary Consul of Thailand in Melbourne, and Mrs. Piyasurang Kuljittiprasit
Minister Counsellor (Education), Royal Thai Embassy, Canberra. Also joining were representatives from government and education sectors, as well as businesses in Victoria.

 

On this occasion, Ambassador Arjaree and Professor Dr. Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, President of Chiang Mai University and the Chairman of the CUPT gave remarks highlighting the importance of education and opportunities for Thailand and Australia, particularly Victoria, to further enhance education cooperation, including through exchanges, joint degree programs, knowledge sharing and training, as well as closer collaboration on research to promote innovation and commercialisation.
