Royal Thai Embassy held ceremony commemorating Nawamindra Maharaj Day, 13 October 2024
On 11 October 2024 at 10.00 hrs., the Royal Thai Embassy organised a ceremony on Nawamindra Maharaj Day to commemorate the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great at Dhammadharo Temple, Canberra. H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand, presided over the ceremony, which was attended by heads and officials of Team Thailand agencies represented in Canberra, their spouses, members of the Australia-Thailand Association, Canberra (ATA), and representatives of the Thai community. The commemorative activities included wreath laying, observing of 89 seconds of silence, and merit making.
The activities organised are testimony of the most profound respect and deepest gratitude towards the late monarch for His tireless dedication and compassion for the Thai people throughout His 70-year reign.
