Diplomatic Visa

  • This type of visa is limited to apply for Diplomatic Passport holders who wish to enter the Kingdom of Thailand to perform diplomatic, consular, and official duties.
  • Holders of UN Laissez-Passer equivalent to Diplomatic Passport who wish to enter the Kingdom of Thailand to perform their duties could also be issued this type of visa.
  • Spouse and children accompanying diplomats posting to Thailand could also be issued this type of visa if only they hold a Diplomatic Passport. So, if they hold an Ordinary Passport, they have to apply for Non-Immigrant “F” Visa with a visa processing fee AUD120.
  • Together with a completed Application Form, applicants must present a letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs/ diplomatic missions of the applicant’s country or from the international organizations/ entities under the United Nations system, which clearly specifies the name, position and purpose of the trip.
  • No visa processing fee
  • Diplomatic Visa holders will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 90 days.

 

Official Visa

  • This type of visa is limited to apply for Official/ Service Passport holders who wish to enter the Kingdom of Thailand to perform their official duties.
  • Holders of UN Laissez-Passer equivalent to Official/ Service Passport who wish to enter the Kingdom of Thailand to perform their duties could also be issued this type of visa.
  • Together with a completed Application Form, Applicants must present a letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs/ diplomatic mission/ government agency of the applicant’s country or from an international organizations/ entity under the United Nations system, which clearly specifies the name, position and purpose of the trip.
  • No Visa processing fee
  • Official Visa holders will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 90 days.

Please note that if diplomats, government officials, officials of international organizations, and their spouse/ dependents hold an Ordinary Passport, they will be issued a Non-Immigrant “F” Visa with a fee of AUD120.
