Ambassador participated in Panel Discussion at Australian – ASEAN Business Forum

On 30 August 2024, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, participated in Showcase Thailand during the 2024 Australian – ASEAN Business Forum at the Sydney International Convention Centre (ICC Sydney). She delivered remarks, emphasising opportunities for trade and investment in Thailand, and moderated a panel discussion to highlight Thailand’s potential in digital economy and its growing start-up sector.

On this occasion, the Embassy invited executives from leading Thai companies in the digital economy and start-up sectors, namely, Ms. Oranuch Lertsuwankij, CEO and Co-founder of TechSauce Media, and Mr. Nattapon Kraisingkorn, Managing Director of Amity Solutions, as well as Mr. Oskar Tomaszewski, CFO of NEXTDC, Australia’s leading data operator, which is expanding its presence into Thailand, to be panellists.

The discussion focused on the future of startups in Thailand, the future and potential of the Thai digital economy and artificial intelligence (AI) technology as well as investment opportunities in Thailand.

The event also featured an information area for Australian businesses interested in investing in ASEAN countries. For Thailand, the Thai Trade Centre in Sydney and the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), Sydney Office jointly hosted the Thai information centre to provide information and promote trade and investment opportunities in Thailand.
