Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand attended the ASEAN Heads of Mission Meeting

On 21 December 2021, HE Ms Busadee Santipitaks, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, together with Heads of Missions and representatives of ASEAN Embassies and High Commissions in Canberra, attended the ASEAN Committee in Canberra (ACC) Heads of Mission Meeting 4/2021, chaired by Ms Pham Thi Thuy Nga, Viet Nam’s Charge d’Affaires.  The Meeting reviewed ACC’s activities in 2021 and discussed the outcome of the engagements with various sectors in Australia as well as high-level officials in line with priorities to strengthen ASEAN-Australia relations.
The Meeting also discussed ASEAN-Australia people-to-people ties and outlined further activities in 2022.  At this meeting, Ms Pham took the opportunity to handover the ACC Chairmanship to HE Mr. Zakaria Ahmad, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam, who will assume the ACC Chairmanship
for January-June 2022.
