Ambassador of Thailand visited Victorian TAFE institutes

On 20 May 2022, as part of her visit to Melbourne, HE Ms Busadee Santipitaks, Ambassador of Thailand, visited the Kangan Institute Automotive Centre of Excellence and the William Angliss Institute.

1) The Kangan Institute Automotive Centre of Excellence is a TAFE Institute and the largest specialised automotive training centre established over 150 years ago.  With over 3,000 students enrolled each year, the Centre offers a wide range of automotive courses training on all types of vehicles. Students are provided with apprenticeships during their training and offered jobs in the automotive industry once their courses are completed.

2) The William Angliss Institute is a TAFE Institute and the largest specialist centre for foods, tourism and hospitality while also offering degree level education.  It has over 80 years of experience and houses more than 23,000 students each year. The Institute is internationally represented in China, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. It also collaborates closely with ASEAN under the ASEAN Tourism Ministers meeting framework working on mutual recognition arrangements for tourism professionals including with institutes in Thailand. Ambassador Busadee also met with Thai students at the Institute.
