Ambassador of Thailand participates in the ASEAN Committee in Canberra Heads of Mission Meeting No.1/2022

On 15 March 2022, HE Ms Busadee Santipitaks, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand participated in the ASEAN Committee in Canberra (ACC) Heads of Mission Meeting held at Hyatt Canberra Hotel.  The meeting was chaired by HE Mr Zakaria Ahmad, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam and ACC Chair (January-June 2022), and attended by ASEAN Heads of Mission and their representatives. The meeting agreed to support future ACC work plan and activities to further enhance ASEAN-Australia collaboration particularly in the areas of education, trade and investment promotion.  After the meeting, the ACC also met with Mr Glenn Keyes, the new Chair of the Australia-ASEAN Council, joined by Mr Ridwaan Jadwat, First Assistant Secretary of the Southeast Asia Maritime Division and Mr Ray Marcelo, Assistant Secretary of the Southeast Asia Regional Division.  Both sides reaffirmed the importance of strengthening ASEAN-Australia relations in line with the aspiration of cooperation under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
