Ambassador-designate of Thailand calls on First Assistant Secretary of the Southeast Asia Strategy and Development Division, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
On 18 January 2023, Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador-designate of Thailand, paid an introductory call on Mr. Allaster Cox, First Assistant Secretary, Southeast Asia Strategy and Development Division, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Both sides exchanged views and discussed matters relating to the Australian Government’s endeavour to strengthen and deepen engagement with Southeast Asia in economic areas, as Australia is developing its Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040. Ambassador-designate Arjaree reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to further expand trade and investment relations as well as promote cooperation in mutually beneficial sectors, with particular focus on those related to bio-circular-green (BCG) economy, such as renewable energy, food and agriculture technology, and education.
