By Royal Command of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, the Royal Decoration of the Commander (Third Class) of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand was bestowed upon Lieutenant Colonel J.P. Salter, MC (Retd), in recognition of the latter’s invaluable role in dedicating and attending His Majesty while His Majesty was a Cadet at the Royal Military College, Duntroon, Canberra, the Commonwealth of Australia.

On 7 April 2022, the Ceremony on the Conferment of the Royal Decoration was held at the Sala Thai Function Hall, Royal Thai Embassy, Canberra. H.E. Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Commonwealth of Australia presided over the Ceremony. Also present at the Ceremony were Lieutenant Colonel J.P. Salter, MC (Retd)’s spouse, invited guests, Heads of Team Thailand Agencies as well as officers of the Royal Thai Embassy, Canberra.
