The NMF is the biggest and most anticipated annual event of Canberra which gives the opportunity for Canberrans from all walks of life to celebrate cultural diversity and social cohesion.  ASEAN Village, likewise, echoed the said vision to show unity and solidarity of ASEAN community in Canberra and to raise awareness and promote a better understanding of ASEAN through cultures, traditions and peoples.  We were honoured to have Mr. Andrew Barr, ACT Chief Minister and Mr. Chris Steel MLA, ACT Minister for Multicultural Affairs to officiate the opening ceremony of ASEAN Village.

The Royal Thai Embassy would like to thank the Tourism Authority of Thailand for organising the “Thailand” booth within the ASEAN Village, to showcase the country’s best tourism destinations, cultures, language and traditions.  There were approximately 2,500 visitors to the “Thailand” booth during the one-day event.
