(3) Persons on diplomatic or consular missions or under international organisations, or representatives of foreign governments or agencies performing their duties in Thailand, or any other persons in international agencies, that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs gives permission pertaining to necessity, including their spouses, parents or children

  • Application procedures
    • Members of Diplomatic Missions, Consular Representatives and International Organisations (DCIOs), and government representatives as well as their families must submit the following documents directly to the Royal Thai Embassy or the Royal Thai Consulate-General to request the issuance of a Certificate of Entry and appropriate visa (if required):
  1. A completed on-line Declaration Form together with the following documents:
    • An official note issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade or Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sending State or International Organisation;
    • A letter affirming the DCIOs’ responsibility for healthcare or medical treatment expenses including COVID-19; and
    • A copy of reservation document for Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) facility for a period of 14 days from the date of the arrival* at his/her own expense. (List of ASQ facilities is available at http://hsscovid.com) *Kindly contact the Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra for flight availability.
  2. If the Members of DCIOs do not have a valid visa, please send the following documents by mail to the Royal Thai Embassy or the Royal Thai Consulate-General:
    • A completed visa application form and visa application fee, if applicable;
    • Passport and supporting documents for visa application; and
    • A registered return envelope to the applicant.
    •  ***If you do not have a valid entry visa to enter the Kingdom of Thailand, you will be deported immediately by the relevant authorities at the Airport without any exception***
    • After receiving duly completed application and required documents for the Certificate of Entry, the Royal Thai Embassy or the Royal Thai Consulate-General will forward them to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its consideration. If approved, the Certificate of Entry will be sent directly to the DCIOs concerned in Thailand. The Members of DCIOs should contact their DCIOs to obtain a copy of the Certificate of Entry prior to their departure.
    • the Members of DCIOs must upload confirmed air ticket with proof of payment through the personal link generated by the application (please do not forward the link to other people).

 

  • At the departure airport and upon entry into Thailand, Members of DCIOs will be required to present the following documents:
  1. Certificate of Entry;
  2. Completed Declaration Form;
  3. A COVID-Free medical certificate with RT-PCR laboratory result, issued no more than 72 hours before departure;
  4. A fit to fly or fit to travel health certificate, issued no more than 72 hours before departure; and
  5. A copy of reservation document for Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ).

 

  • Upon entry into Thailand, Members of the DIOCs are required to undergo 14-day Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ).
