The Thai Advance Team travels to Haiti
On 29 January 2010, Mr. Theerakun Niyom, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, held a press conference before the advance team of Thailand departs Bangkok to Haiti. Mitrphol Sugar Corp., Ltd. provides financial assistance to Haiti through the Foreign Ministry
On 29 January 2010, Mr. Rawat Chatsudthipong, Vice President to the Executives Office of Mitr Phol Sugar Corp., Ltd., presented a donation of Baht 100,000 to Mr. Theerakun Niyom, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The contribution was a part of the financial assistance from the Thai private sector to help the victims of earthquake in Haiti. The Foreign Ministry will coordinate with the United Nations (UN) in channeling Thailand’s contributions to help Haiti accordingly.
